“Divine Mother of the Universe” — Prayer IX by Miasha

Prayer IX

Oh, Divine Mother of the Universe,
how can I doubt your Love for me?

In the sanctuary of your Love,
grant that I may have a
Mind of Peace,
Pure Heart,
Wisdom.

Count my faults,
Divine Mother,

but never abandon me.
Count my blessings daily,
for they are jewels I bestow upon you.
Count my human burdens,
for I nightly lay them at your feet.

If I stray, touch my Soul.
If I forget, touch my Soul.
If I fear, touch my Soul.

As your child, servant and steward,
inspire me to live for you.
Then my wonder at your Love for me
will never die.

About C. Forrest McDowell, PhD

I am blessed to be a co-steward for over 30 years of the beautiful 22-acre Cortesia Sanctuary outside Eugene, Oregon, with my partner, Tricia Clark-McDowell. My lifelong interests in wellness care, psychology, nature, music composition & performance, writing, and meditation fuel my celebration for life. My form of service is founded upon the elemental practice of kindness and reverence for life. Of course, to understand the value of deep respect for life, we also have to accept irreverence as part of human nature and to know that it can be very disruptive and destructive to peace, safety, beauty, joy and love.

    Hello,
Both the poem and the image of the one heart touched me deeply. I am a starting therapist and intuitive healer in service of the one heart. I am called to get started with my own practice in San Francisco, and I am searching for a symbol/logo. Would it be possible for me to use the image on my paper work?

Thank you for considering my request!

    Sincerely,
    Tseha Amidan

    Dear Forrest,
Please, who is Miasha? This is such a beautiful poem and shifted a weight from my heart I no longer felt served me or anyone else, so gently. Im very grateful, and am completely magnetised to these two pictures, which is how I found your website. I can see a lady has perhaps been on the same journey as me, from her request above, no surprise, maybe we are both working with similar energy, as I too, am working as a therapist and intuitive healer, only along way away in Bristol, in the UK, and am feeling very drawn to ask you if I may also use these two images in my publicity? Thank you so much for the experience received tonight, so healing, could I use this poem sometime maybe in a workshop or something?
Much love, your sanctuary feels like it has a beautiful energy, many blessings,
    Hari Ma

        Hari Ma xx
